Fractions of an inch
Tape measures in inches are often marked in halves, quarters, eighths and sixteenths. Type the decimal value: a half inch is 0.5 (1.27 cm), a quarter inch is 0.25 (0.635 cm) and an eighth of an inch is 0.125 (0.3175 cm).
